Depending on how mature the plants are, the tank usually lasts 7 to 10 days. And the nutrient mix comes perfectly pre-portioned.

Our artificial sun gives the plants the energy to grow strong. The first harvest is usually ready after about five weeks. Below 20 °C and above 26 °C, growth slows down.

About once a week. Top up the water and add one of the pre-portioned nutrient fertilizer packets. All in all, maybe 2 minutes of effort per week.

No. The light bar on top is the artificial sun for the plants, except that it gives them more energy than natural sunlight does. The Kitchenforest is made for every kitchen, including those without windows.

The artificial sun should always hover about 10 cm, a good hand's width, above the herbs.

No. Simplicity is our standard. Plug in, light on, done.

In principle, you can grow all the herbs and greens in our range. Parsley and basil are always included to get you started.

We also designed the Kitchenforest so you can plant a bunch from the supermarket and finally enjoy it for longer than 3 days. We do prefer growing from seed, though.

The Kitchenforest light is bright and strong, to give the plants the energy for extra-fast growth. It runs on an 18-hour cycle, including a simulated sunrise and sunset. If the light is ever too bright in the evening, a built-in dimmer switch dims the artificial sun and switches to warm 2,200K light. If you forget to switch it back, no problem. After a few hours it switches back by itself, so growth and the cycle are not interrupted.
