The Upgreens mint seed kit contains three packets of GMO-free mint seeds, to be precise: Mentha spicata, spearmint, named after the Greek nymph Minthe. The three packets fill all three pots of the Kitchenforest. Fresh mint is the most versatile kitchen plant in the world: in tea in the morning, in tabbouleh at lunch, in a mojito in the evening. The seeds are sprinkled onto the Upgreens growing substrate and germinate within a few days under the artificial sun, aka the LED light bar, of the Kitchenforest. You can expect the first harvest after five weeks. Regular picking encourages bushy regrowth, so a Kitchenforest supplies fresh mint for months for drinks, salads, desserts and Middle Eastern cooking.
