Oregano

The Upgreens oregano seed kit contains three packets of GMO-free oregano seeds, to be precise: Origanum vulgare, "joy of the mountains" in Greek. The three packets fill all three pots of the Kitchenforest. Oregano and tomatoes have belonged together for 500 years: ever since Columbus brought the tomato to Europe, oregano has been the herb that completes it. The seeds are sprinkled onto the Upgreens growing substrate and germinate within a few days under the artificial sun, aka the LED light bar, of the Kitchenforest. You can expect the first harvest after five weeks. Regular picking encourages bushy regrowth, so a Kitchenforest supplies fresh oregano for months for pizza, pasta, grilled vegetables and all of Mediterranean cooking.
